As many of you know, Kekahi Coalition has been working with many other organizations and the Department of Health on being proactive regarding our health - in wake of what's been going on with health care coverage in the last decade or so.

Despite political conditions on all angles, there are a league of people who don't have time to hang onto every word that swings back and forth in the health care field.  The DOH knows that people need their health and every reason why.  However those in the public health corridors also know the struggles we face daily and they want to help us all as a whole - crush the very things that are bringing us down.

This post is only for those who smoke and if you vape, try call anyway.  You will be the pioneers of keeping those who vape healthy.  Most health studies and statistics for vaping have not been found yet because it is a new thing to do.  There is no long term studies for a product that only hit the market 5 years ago.

Getting back to the $60 for an hour of your time,  we have received this flyer in an email today and were asked to share it.  Who couldn't use $60 bucks right now?  And shoot, if you heard what just happened in Maui County, some smokers are going to cry.  Effective July 2018 the new law that passed will begin enforcement:  It is now illegal to smoke in the car with minors.  The fine if you get caught will be $200 and bet your bottom dollar, this will definitely affect those on parole or probation.  What if they are having a bad day and are late to something, after fighting with their spouse?  They have a million life pressures and every method of coping is being taken away.  Only a few years ago it became illegal to smoke in parks and on beaches.  So yes, the DOH can pay [me] for [my] time and trouble ;) and many will probably use that money to buy cigarettes.  Let's be real.  This is how it usually happens.

Our Prime Visionary

Everything has its roots.  No matter what we do in life, we want to source it's beginnings and history, which all derive from it's roots.  When we go to our kupuna for advice, what do they advise us to do?  Source the root for the answer.  How hard is that?  We'll give you one hint:  it is much harder when your mind isn't fully open.

Kekahi Coalition has seen the current state of affairs both locally and globally.  Our team has studied statistics, watched the news, read the updates, fact checked and analyzed solutions to many, many problems.  As a team, each of us brings our own unique flavor of remedies to a great majority of the obstacle kind problems that prevent us all from moving forward successfully.  Together, we make a pretty big puddle of both experience and solutions all wrapped up on one deployment team.  Our roots are based on the perfect blend of experience, education and empathy.

Our primary vision is to remove obstacles that hold us back by finding creative avenues toward sustainable futures.  How do we do that?  We can accomplish anything we set our hearts out to do.  That is a gift that everybody has.  So our gift is used to promote life sustainability by being living examples.  Each person on our team has a unique talent that they bring to the table to contribute to collective goals and we utilize basic principles that society has forgotten, in order to achieve those goals.  The roots of our solutions come from a comprehensive study of our own ancestral civilizations, compromised into a manner conducive to modern life today.

Introduction

As we celebrate the rising of the sun on a fresh new dawn,  we recognize life for all that it is and has to offer.  We realize that in the vast circle of life,  new opportunities arise.
For some, that means another day, another dollar.
For us, that means another day, another restoration of life.

Aloha Kekahi i Kekahi
We are kanaka o ka 'aina
Everything we do is grass roots
Sometimes kalo

The dream of something that would solve an array of problems with one central plan began with the need  to see life on all levels restored, in order for a future to exist.
It began with the recognition that people have been on this earth for thousands of years without a problem sustaining,  whereas since colonization spread its wings across continents and into our oceans,  earth in general has been on a downward spiral.

Learning these things brought a lot of questions that took a lot of years and experience to find some of the answers.  Research doesn't only come in the classroom, it comes when we actively seek knowledge and wisdom to advance ourselves in the perfection we were supposed to be destined for.

Our mother earth wasn't meant to be tainted.
Our people weren't meant to be violated.
Our lives weren't meant to be built around sales.
Our futures weren't meant to be artificial.

Those of us with like minds realize that while culture alone is a huge component in the way of life, also recognize that there are some really ancient ways of life that have been practiced around the world and are a part of every culture.
We also recognized that prior to the Industrial Revolution of America and
the era of non-stop wars society in general was much better off.
Prisons weren't the mainstay of a national economy.
Industrialization & bandwagon propaganda did not dictate people's lives.
Families weren't being divided by a system built against them.
People didn't fall victims to addiction like they have in the last 150 years.
People didn't need pills to cope with every day reality.

What do these observations mean?
These observations mean that we have been actively noticing things, taking notes, making research, trying different methods to see what works and making notes of each step along the way.  We have combined different methods from various origins to create a unique non-profit to achieve the ultimate sustainability for both mankind and nature.

Whereas some of us have gone to university and others haven't, that factor was only brought into play to achieve necessary credentials for specific positions.  We do not validate people on their available credentials.   All parties interested in becoming a part of this growth are welcome to our table to join like minds, in like organizations and for like causes.  We value every form of genuine, organic intelligence that wishes to restore life as perpetuated in righteousness.

We are the people of the lands.  We start every project off as a grass root effort and finish each project uplifted from where we were yesterday, embracing the struggles we face, along the way.  Sometimes, our grass root efforts land us in the roots of nourishment, where the kalo grows and reminds us of our own growth.

We are unique individuals.
We are part of a family and an extended family.
We vibe as one unit.
One voice.
One life force.
One and all in one.

Mahalo for visiting our blog.
